Mr. CP Mohan
Mr. CP Mohan is development finance professional with 40 years of experience in grassroots to policy level positions across public, private, cooperative, and multilateral institutions. These institutions include GCMMF, NABARD, College of Agriculture Banking of RBI, NABFINS etc. The international organizations are World Bank Group and FAO of the United Nations as a technical specialist in Rural Finance, Post Disaster Needs Assessment, Livelihood projects etc. He has served on Boards of several development institutions and RRBs.
An important highlight in his career is his role in building up NABFINS as a vibrant national rural micro-finance institution as to its Managing Director. At the policy level, he was a member of Prof. Sriram Committee on the Formation of Kerala Cooperative Bank and had supported Khan Committee of RBI.
Mohan has travelled very extensively in India and abroad and has studied agri-value chains, banking correspondent models, rural finance, development projects etc., in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. He considers the teachings of Dr. Verghese Kurien and the concept of IRMA as sources of inspiration to walk the extra mile in his endeavours.
He is a Post Graduate in Rural Management from IRMA and holds B.Sc. (Agri & AH) from G B Pant University for Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He is a Chartered Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
